Mash'Allah through the will of Allah (SWT) the Umar Faruq orphanage in Banda Aceh is fully operational catering for the physical, mental and spiritual needs of orphans that lost their parents and loved ones in the Tsunami disaster. Volunteers from Masjid Umar visited the orphanage this year in February 2008. Please click here to see pictures of the orphanage in action.
As always, we sometimes have to take a step back and ponder deeply on the fortunate blessings that Allah (SWT) has bestowed upon us. Masjid Umar and the Yatama rely on the financial support of the Muslim community within Leicestershire and beyond. We humbly request brothers and sisters to donate whatever they can towards the upkeep and day to day running of the Yatama.
